Helping society survive and thrive in the climate catastrophe

Survivability_lab is a transdisciplinary think tank and design collective that researches, teaches, and promotes radically creative solutions to support humanity as it strives to survive and thrive in the climate catastrophe.

At the lab we:

  • Conduct and disseminate research on climate migration and re-settlement patterns leading up to 2099.
  • Write books, articles, and papers on design strategies and policy concepts to promote human well-being during the climate catastrophe.
  • Deliver keynote lectures on Survivability.
  • Serve as subject matter experts on the survivability for podcasts, news interviews and symposiums.
  • Provide outreach via social media, podcasts, and blogs.
  • Teach courses on Survivability.
  • Pursue grants to support research, writing, outreach, and curriculum development.

Survivability Lab is currently looking for chapter authors for a new edited book proposal on the topic of Survivability. The book will be organized by four major themes:

  • Mitigate / Sustainability and Climate Literacy
  • Acclimate / Adaptability / Resilience
  • Migrate / Survivability
  • Regenerate / Thrivability
