I read Generation X by Douglas Copeland when it first came out many years ago. He coined the term Generation-X. It was a literary masterpiece and an excellent example of high quality graphic design. I loved the the shape of the book. There is something about a square book that just works for an architect. I visualize my new book as having some of these qualities. The side panels were one of my favorite parts.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is another important influence. I am currently reading this book and enjoying it very much. The book explores the 3 Superpowers of Sustainable Design: Thinking across time, Thinking across space, and Seeing multiple truths. I also got “Don’t Panic” from this book.
